While in the area recently, I visited California State University, Long Beach:
A few takeaways from my visit:
One of the 23 California State University campuses, Long Beach offers a great location close to the beach (obviously) in the heart of Southern California, easily accessible to Orange County and LA destinations.
The campus has 34,000 undergraduate students and is the second-largest CSU behind CSU Fullerton. It has a diverse student population and is highly ranked for social mobility. This means that the university is highly regarded for its affordability, enrolling students from low-income backgrounds, graduating students into good-paying jobs, and messaging around advancing social mobility.
I loved how cozy and inclusive the campus felt. The campus size seemed manageable to negotiate, without feeling too small. There were lots of outdoor and indoor areas for students to gather, relax, and connect like the campus quad and University Student Union.
CSU Long Beach is known for strong programs in Business, Nursing, Criminal Justice, and Design.
Go Beach!
