BCC's Latest Read: What High Schools Don't Tell You (and Other Parents Don't Want You to Know)

Summer is a great time for high school students to learn more about their interests, be productive, and engage in activities they love - all while recharging from the busy school year. I've found that the most successful high school summers are planned in the winter, when many summer programs have their application deadlines.

If you're looking for a helpful resource on summer planning, especially for students interested in highly competitive colleges, I recommend "What High Schools Don't Tell You (and Other Parents Don't Want you to Know)" by Elizabeth Wissner-Gross. The second half of the book is especially useful with ideas and lists of opportunities based on student interests.

Let me know how I can help your student plan their upcoming summer!
