The Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) is an agreement among public universities to provide out-of-state tuition discounts to students from participating western states (yep, California is one of these states!). Though WUE, students pay no more than 150% of an institution’s residential tuition rate. This little-known program can provide substantial tuition discounts, often rivaling in-state tuition at UCs or CSUs.
