BCC's Latest Read: How to be a High School Superstar (Cal Newport)

I have a long list of books in my Amazon cart recommended by colleagues. This particular recommendation intrigued me, and proved to be quite thought provoking.

As high school students continue to become more and more stressed and over-scheduled, Newport's advice for students to create more free time in their schedule to explore and focus on projects is a breath of fresh air.

Newport argues that focusing on one activity will reward a student with many more complimentary accomplishments than could be generated by time spent over multiple, unrelated projects. It's definitely worth a read, and has some great study/time management tips as well as valuable advice for breaking into a field of interest (that may actually be more suitable for college graduates looking for their first job).
